Anonymous Obama Supporter Saves a Woman’s Life
From Daily Kos:
About an hour before Barack was to take the stage my dear wife has a massive asthma attack! She drops unconscious to the ground. I am unable to even pick her up because of my disability. A young black man we had been chatting with immediately picks her up and literally runs out of the crowd carrying her. …
As it turns out, this could have been tragic: she stopped breathing. The difference between life and death here was measured in seconds. Needless to say, the beneficiaries would like very much to find this young man and personally thank him. Based on their brief conversation, his name is Kinard, he may live near Kansas City, appears “early to mid 30’s, 6′2 maybe 200 lbs, may have a wife and two sons; also might be an ex navy Sonar Technician.” Can you help find him?
Lieberman On Palin: “Thank God She’s Not Gonna Have To Be President From Day One”
Sen. Joe Lieberman on Friday skirted a question on whether vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is ready from day one to be president, saying “thank God” she won’t have to be.
Lieberman, I-Conn., who has helped prep the Alaska governor on foreign policy issues, said his pal and GOP presidential nominee, John McCain, is in good health.
“Thank God, she’s not gonna have to be president from day one, because McCain’s going to be alive and well,” Lieberman said in a conference call with reporters.
Lieberman said he was confident that Palin, whose foreign policy background has been questioned by Democrats, could step in and handle the chief executive’s job.
“If, God forbid, an accident occurs or something of that kind, she’ll be ready,” Lieberman said. “She’s had executive experience. She’s smart and she will have had on-the-job training.”
Lieberman added that if Democrat Barack Obama wins the White House, he would support his presidency.
“I hope and pray, and I am working my heart out for McCain to be elected our next president, but if for whatever the reason he is not, I am going to do everything I can to be part of bringing people together across party lines to support the new president so he can succeed,” Lieberman said. “What’s at stake for our country is just too serious.”
Lieberman was the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2000 and was re-elected to the Senate in 2006 as an independent.

McCain Campaign Was Very Involved in Pushing Hoax Race Baiting Story
Claims from the McCain Campaign:

The McCain campaign later retracted their claims, and now tonight, are denying they were the source of the quotes in the first place. But that claim is flatly contradicted by the two reporters involved in the story:
Tonight McCain spokesman Brian Rogers denied the campaign gave out those quotes, telling Countdown, “They came from the police and were attributed to the McCain camp because of sloppy reporting.” An account that does not explain why two television stations both quoted the McCain campaign, or the fact that one of them, KDKA Pittsburgh, specifically followed the McCain quotes with the line, quote, “Police, however, have not confirmed that.” And tonight Countdown asked the reporter from the other station, WPXI, to check his notes. He says he got those quotes first, 4:08 pm yesterday, from McCain’s Pennsylvania communications director.

Tom Ridge Steps In It: Says He Would Have Been a Better Pick Than Palin
Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said today that John McCain can’t become president without carrying Pennsylvania and that the race would be different if McCain had chosen him as his running mate.
“I think the dynamics would be different in Pennsylvania,” Ridge said when asked if he should have been chosen to run as vice president over Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. “I think we’d be foolish not to admit it publicly.”
Ridge, the campaign’s national co-chairman, said McCain “had several good choices and I was one of them.”
