We have the same issue in the UK with Gordon Brown saying the same thing. The truth is, the so called ‘boom’ has been fueled by debt, personal, business and government and as we all know, this has to be repaid, so there are lean times ahead. Why do politicians, whichever side of the pond they are on, always insist on treating us like idiots?
